First gig: I worked remotely as a Digital Marketing Intern at The Modern Marketing Co. doing email marketing and social media for an audience of female entrepreneurs from August 2020 to April 2021.
Movin’ on up: From June 2021 - June 2022, I was an intern at Morning Brew in 2 different roles: I started as one of the interns answering every. single. email. sent in by engaged readers (yes, one time someone did try to sell us a tractor). After creating this video, I was offered the opportunity to join the Creative Studio on the Branded Content team. I wrote branded newsletter ads, articles, and social media campaigns for 4M+ readers. I also crafted some silly little Tweets.
One newsletter just wasn’t enough: Starting in August 2022, I joined Workweek’s Growth Marketing team. I assist with static ad copy and write scripts for all TikTok, FB, and Reels video ads, putting me knee-deep in ads manager. I even film, produce, and edit some of these videos myself. Can you believe they let the intern spend over $175k in TikTok ads!?
Currently: Running socials at beehiiv, the best newsletter platform out there. I’m making TikToks, Tweeting silly one-liners, and also crafting long-form posts all about newsletters, what you can learn from them, and why you should have one. I love it so much that I started my own newsletter, Office Slayers: on being a Gen Z in the office and how to feel good about it.

This includes choosing relevant topics, attention grabbing hooks, optimizing for watch time, and ensuring the content delivery lends itself to the platform. I mastered the unique brand voice of marketing, fintech, healthcare, sales, people + culture, franchise, and social media verticals, driving 60k+ new subscribers to Workweek newsletters from video ads on TikTok.
